Every once in a while, you should let yourself go out and enjoy a show without any deeper meaning. The Little Theatre of Alexandria’s Move Over, Mrs. Markham is your opportunity to do that.
Here’s the awesome part of Little Theatre of Alexandria’s production: They all get it.
The celebration of the 2010 WATCH (Washington Area Theater Community Honors) Awards was held at a public ceremony at The Birchmere on Sunday, March 6, 2011.
It was heartwarming to watch this production, because the cast and audience, both young and old, were clearly having a great time and discovering the love of theatre.
WATCH (Washington Area Theatre Community Honors) announced the nominations at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia on Sunday, January 16th. The Award Ceremony will be on Sunday, March 6, 2011 starting at 7:00 pm, at The Birchmere, Alexandria, VA. 121 productions (35 musicals, 86 plays) were adjudicated in 2010. Thirty-one community theater companies participated in WATCH adjudication.
There was a lot of potential for this production of The Visit; unfortunately it just did not live up to expectations.
A funny play, although occasionally difficult to follow, but overall was a solid production.

Overall, Company was an enjoyable evening, and will be especially appealing to those who haven’t yet decided if they should be looking for Miss (or Mr.) Right.
This fabulous, tough to watch production made me cry.
