A pleasure from start to finish, Paul VI Catholic High School’s production of Hello, Dolly! fully embodied what viewers love theatrical productions to be.
Your unambitious reviewer recommends this show and warrants that, if nothing else, the worth of the ticket price to this show is bound up in the relief at not having to clean up the mess on stage at the end of this very funny play.
In sum, McLean’s Deathtrap was an agreeable evening. It mixed comedy with thrills, though not always successfully.
This play, because it is so complex and mature, definitely challenged both the cast and crew — but Langley was able to tell the gloomy story of The Crucible with their own distinctive voice.
People who enjoy tuning into the exploits of Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot on the PBS Mystery series will enjoy Little Theater of Alexandria’s take on Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution.
As Holocaust testimony and memoir fade into lore, our new challenge emerges in the first person survival stories of hostages and terrorism.
It is refreshing to see a human-scale, handcrafted show that touches all the musical, theatrical, and emotional bases one needs for a sweet evening of entertainment, like Vienna Theater Company’s production of The Fantasticks.
Overall, this was a fun-filled production of a classic play.
This was an amusing production that never quite hit the antics that were possible in the interactions between Olive and Flo.
