Getting Ready for the 11th WATCH Awards

By • Mar 4th, 2011 • Category: News

Some interesting statistics for the WATCH Awards for 2010.

  • 121 productions (35 musicals, 86 plays) were adjudicated
  • 55 shows received nominations
  • 24 WATCH member companies received at least one nomination
  • 6 WATCH member companies did not receive at least one nomination

Due to our efforts to prevent ShowBizRadio writers from covering shows where there may be a conflict of interest or bias, combined with the shows that our writers were working on themselves, we did not cover as many WATCH shows in 2010 as we did in past years.

  • ShowBizRadio covered 29 nominated productions
  • ShowBizRadio covered 18 productions that were not nominated

At this writing, this year we have already published 21 reviews of WATCH member productions, and 9 of professional theater companies. As always, please contact me if you’re interested in contributing to this vibrant theater community.

Here are all the nominated productions, with links to the news articles and reviews about the show. If we’ve missed an article, please send us a link to the article and we will update the listing.

We hope to see you at the Eleventh Annual Washington Area Theatre Community Honors Presentation Ceremony on Sunday night. Best wishes to all the nominees.

  1. Hi Mike & laura-

I loved reading the reviews attached to the shows above. I have noted some additional reviews that LTA’s Chicago got during our run..I had the honor of co-stage managing the show.
