Cock is an accomplished trek into a well-groomed performance and culturally loaded play that is worth an audience’s attention.
This is very American chamber music, more Ives than Mozart, and, while posing unanswered questions, each piece has its own completeness.
The subject matter of the play is serious, but there are some well-played humorous moments, and the production’s tone is not allowed to become gloomy.
