That is often the problem with a lot of Sondheim, you have to sing it full voice, especially the recurring &quot;Ballad of Sweeney Todd&quot;, there are specific notes where it really sounds like shrieking if done right. That of course works in a giant broadway stage, but the intimate spaces of community theaters have less place for the sound to travel. I confess I was seated about 2/3 of the way back and it was ok, maybe if you revisit the theater you can ask for a seat further away?]]></description>
