In spite of some issues with cast cohesion and technical defects, the cast and crew of Albert Einstein High School delivered a solid and colorful performance of Hairspray.
The New School of Northern Virginia executed definitive and ambitiously stylistic theatre, in a completely unique production of Wonderland.
Despite occasional sloppiness, the cast and crew of St. Albans & National Cathedral School’s production of Hairspray should be commended for putting on such an enthralling performance with such a difficult work of musical theater.
The cast of Thoroughly Modern Millie tackled an endlessly upbeat score, tap routines, and in some cases opposite gender roles with aplomb.
Full of high-spirited characters and songs, the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School’s production of Guys and Dolls overflowed with charm.
All in all, Churchill’s production of the Queen of Mystery’s most famous play offered thrills and chills aplenty.
Humor and tenderness converged in Seton School’s production, reminding everyone to reach out to those who insist on going “up the down staircase.”
The cast displayed incredible timing, comical energy, and smooth set changes, which enhanced their performance greatly and added a unique touch to David Ives’ classical play.
Adapting a classic is definitely a difficult task, but the cast and crew at Bishop O’Connell performed The Lamplighter with admirable composure.
