Despite some problems with the energy levels of this farce, Georgetown Theatre Company’s Gianni Schicchi was a pleasurable show.
Watching a couple self-destruct could have been tedious, but outstanding acting from Chuck Dluhy and Jessie Roberts combined with Rosemary Hartman’s directing mark The Prisoner of Second Avenue as a very entertaining play.
Despite a long first act, Wonderful Town was swell, with knockout singing, dancing and acting.
In general, FCT’s season opening production of Little Shop of Horrors was a fun show, but serious theatre-lovers will be extremely frustrated by the sound problems.
Excalibur! was a fun piece, just long enough that young audience memebrs can get an introduction to the theatre and be entertained without being spoken down to.
All in all, Castaways’ The Miracle Worker was enjoyable, but still needed some work.
