ACCT’s next youth production is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s gangster flick, Bugsy Malone, Jr.. It promises and delivers big musical numbers, flapper fashions, fedoras, speakeasies, and loads of laughs!
Sunset Boulevard is just Awesome! A wonderful Washington Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical.
1st Stage, in Tyson’s, has put together a creative team to mount this show and I must say it’s a pleasant relief from all the Scrooge Gets A Conscience/Clarence Gets His Wings productions up all over town.
If you’re in the mood for a wonderful night of acting by two brilliant actresses, then this play will be a wonderful night of entertainment. If you’re looking for the play to match the performances, you’ll be disappointed.
Folger Theatre’s Henry VIII is a must see production. It is a breathtaking journey through the history of Henry VIII through the words of Shakespeare and the eyes of Will Sommers.
A wonderful play is being performed at 1st Stage. All in all this play is a play worth seeing.
Director, William Aitken, brings us Paddy Chayefsky’s play with a sense of the realism it was meant to be. True to the time and place and complete with all the nuance, flavor and subtext to give the audience a full appreciation for the time period and the story being told.
This is a production you simply won’t want to miss.
All in all this was a depressing play that just happens to have fabulous directing, acting and musical direction.
