Port City Playhouse The Curious Savage Venue ChangeBy Laura & Mike Clark • Jun 3rd, 2009 • Category: News
Port City Playhouse has had to re-schedule several performances of their current production The Curious Savage. The performances originally scheduled for this weekend (June 5th and 6th) have been cancelled. Remaining performances will be on Friday June 12th, Saturday June 13th, Friday June 19th and Saturday June 20th at 8:00pm; and there will be one Sunday matinee, on Sunday the 14th at 2:00pm. Performances will not be at their normal venue, but instead will be at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Road in Alexandria, VA 22308.
According to a report issued by the City of Alexandria, “a two inch water line in the roof top mechanical room at the Lee Center failed the morning of Saturday, May 30, causing severe water damage to several office areas in Recreation Services and Therapeutic Recreation, and Therapeutic Recreation program space, the Exhibit Hall and Kauffman Auditorium. As a result, the west wing of the Lee Center has been closed for cleanup work. Cleanup activities and the relocation of staff is expected to be a minimum of one to two weeks.”
Port City Playhouse will honor all tickets purchased for any of the cancelled performances. Or a refund will be provided if requested.
