Aurora Studio Theatre Shuts DownBy Laura & Mike Clark • Jan 4th, 2009 • Category: News
Meredith Bean McMath, Aurora’s Artistic Director, announced recently that Aurora Studio Theatre shut its doors on December 31st, 2008. Aurora Studio Theatre performed in the western end of Loudoun County since 2004.
For four and a half years, Aurora Studio Theatre was pleased to bring you extraordinary theatre and performing arts instruction. But life rolls on, circumstances arise, and sometimes even highly successful ventures such as Aurora must come to an end. So it is that Aurora’s Board of Directors voted to dissolve the company as of December 31, 2008.
I was proud to serve as founding Artistic Director along with a group of like-minded and extremely talented artists, and I think it’s terrific that we were able to leave the audience standing on its feet with our terrific November production of Guys and Dolls.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed being here for you over the years, and hope you remember us as fondly as we do you.
