KAT 2nd Stage Call for Directors

KAT 2nd Stage is now accepting proposals from directors for its 2009-10 Season. All productions are staged at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, which has an intimate state-of-the-art 99-seat theater, and is in the vibrant Kentlands neighborhood. KAT 2nd Stage has presented shows at The Arts Barn since its opening season. Past productions include Pippin , Godspell , A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum , The Dining Room , Charlotte’s Web , Free 2 Be You and Me , The Best of Broadway , and The Fantasticks . We are producing Willy Wonka and Fully Committed in Spring 2009. 2nd Stage is planning to produce two musicals and one straight play in our 2009-10 Season, which will run from September 2009 through July 2010. The exact dates have not been determined at this time.
Submissions should include 2 copies of:
- A resume of your directorial and theatrical experience
- Script
- A detailed proposal of your concept of the production, and ideas on production elements (set, costumes, etc)
- If your submission is a musical, please include a CD, and names of suggested musical directors and choreographers.
